A day in the life of me is completely ridiculous and slightly miserable. I'm awkward. I'm sorry.

Oceanography Notes Day 23
I obviously didn't finish this picture. I think I ran out of time. I was kinda playing attention at this time.

Oceanography Notes Day 22
Aliens have taken over the earth, everything is being blown up and this brave man is trying to kill an alien. Let's hope he succeeds.

Oceanography Notes Day 16
Here we are in a saloon. We've got some bottles on the bar and a couple of chairs fallen from a rough bar fight, but this lizard cowboy hasn't had enough yet, he's off to scour the land for some more people to beat up. What a mean lizard.

Oceanography Notes Day 15
I fail so hardcore at trying to draw any sort of animal. Even if it isn't real. Also, Psycho reference.

Oceanography Notes Day 13
I think everyone can guess how much enjoy this class. Sadly though, this professor is the only one that teaches it. He's the worst.

Oceanography Notes Day 6
Even though I rarely pay any attention I still answer most of the clicker quizzes correctly because I'm a boss.

Oceanography Notes Day 5
I can't really say that I'm not learning anything in that class. Every now and then I look up and read what's on the slide so I can see what I missed, but for an oceanography class, we barely talk about the ocean at all.

Oceanography Notes Day 4
About 95% of the time I never incorperate any part of the class into my drawings. As you can see from the Narwhal swiming in brains. A little homage to I Set My Friends On Fire

Day 3 of Oceanography Notes
I felt like you deserved 2 today. And I drew them on the same day so it's okay. I had forgotten my notebook so I had to use random paper.

Oceanography Notes
Every day in class, I look around and I try to picture what everyone else is thinking, because in a room of about 200 there only seems to be about 30 people listening. Sometimes there are just people talking the whole class, and if they're obnoxious I want to lose my mind.

New line of thinking
,
In my Oceanography class I don't pay attention.
At all.
So, I spend the 50 minutes of class usually drawing some sort of picture
I've decided every new picture I will share with you, I figure something this boring should be shared right? Right.

Sometimes, you just need to disappear....
Well, no not really but I don't know maybe it would help sometimes.
Now, I was oggling at some pictures of some extremely attractive actors which all happen to be from Scotland, and I was thinking, they rarely do a Scottish accent in their movies. And then I started thinking about other actors and I've noticed that the people that do the best accents are from the UK.
Like, Ewan McGreggor, does an awesome british accent, but he's scottish, same with James McAvoy. I wonder why that is. Like, I'm always looking up actors, because I watch an unusual amount of movies, and I've noticed, there's always people from the UK that are in movies and you don't even know because of their accent in the movie, but you totally always notice when an American is flubbing through trying to sound British or failing at a German accent.
It's slightly interesting.
Oh, also, Cillian Murphy, I've always just assumed it was pronounced like sillian, but apparently it's like Killian, which is pretty interesting. I think he's super good at being a villain because he's got that whole, "I look evil" kinda thing going for him. But I'd like to see him as a normal person. And not like he was in Inception, a super rich heir isn't really a normal person in a movie, you know?
Also, something I was thinking about recently, When super famous music people throw parties and such, do you think they play their music? Would they get kinda tired of it that they wouldn't want to play it at their own party? Or would they be like, only playing their music. Would people expect that? or would they stick to something playing that didn't have any words. I guess they would stick to something without words if they were older and a more sophisticated kind of music artist. I can't really picture someone like, I don't know, Justin Bieber playing something without words. That's not really young party kind of music I guess.
Do you think if you keep to yourself and not do anything you are missing out on anything? I feel like, when someone else is involved that you have to account for everyone else feeling completely in sync and most of the time, someone is disappointed on some level. I think I'm more worried about having people feel completely comfortable and have the maximum amount of fun. But I rarely provide such entertainment. You know? It's best to keep to myself right? Right.

The Adventures of the Month of June Part 2
Now, we left off with me waiting 2 hours for my dad to come and save me from being stranded on the side of the road about 1 and half hours from being home.
I was returning home that day because it was my friend's birthday and I wanted to show up to her party and surprise her and then that weekend was my old high school's graduation and one of my friends was graduating.
I missed my friend's birthday party completely. If I would have arrived on time, I would have been about 15 minutes late. instead, I missed the entire 6 hour party.
The next day my dad went back and got my car and took it to a place to figure out what happened and get it fixed. The person told my dad that the radiator cap busted and leaked water on a bunch of junk which made me blow a gasket. and it would take about 2 weeks to fix because of their work load.
I had recently gotten a job. I was hired as a babysitter and I was supposed to start after the kids got out of school for the summer. which was about a day after the car was projected to be finished. I was only staying at home for a week because I had to get back and take care of my older brother's dog while he and his family went out of town for a week. So I took my dad's car and kidnapped my older brother and we made the trip back to my brother's house.
2 days before I was supposed to start my job, the lady sent me a text message saying that she had changed her mind about having a babysitter. My car had still yet to be worked on and the brother I kidnapped needed to go home and see his girlfriend. She was about to leave for 3 weeks to go on a trip to Bulgaria for a dig or something.
So, we went home and finally, 3 weeks after my car broke, it was fixed.
We will continue the adventures of my summer on a later date.

Oops.. My bad.
It would appear that I have once again forgotten to take care of my blog. For that I am sorry. Not that it seriously matters to anyone except for me. I'm pretty basically the only one who reads it. but whatever.
Let's catch up shall we?
Well, since we last spoke, I have gotten my license and also purchased a car. It's an older car, a '98 Honda Civic. Everyone is like, "Oh man Hondas! Those things last forever and run great!" -_-
It took a lot of deliberating with myself but I decided to go back home for a week. I packed everything and got everything ready that morning and left.
Earlier that week, my older brother sent me a check to help me with car repairs. (Because I have amazing older brothers and such) We all know how bank of America does that whole ATM lets you deposit checks and stuff. So I was like, before I leave I'll put this check in the ATM that way I don't run out of money while I'm home and so I'm not carrying this check around with me everywhere. So I plug in the GPS machine and I search for a bank of America ATM on my phone for the address. But the GPS wont turn on. So I'm like hmm it worked a couple days ago why isn't it working now? I look at the plug in my car and one of the wires is no longer connected. So that means I don't have a GPS anymore. I've never made the trip home by myself so I have no idea where to go or what to do. So, after trying for about 45 minutes I couldn't fix the plug. So I used my phone's map app which does not have a very good GPS function. Luckily though I only had to make like 5 turns through the whole trip.
Well, the trip home is only about 6 hours. and with 1 and a half hours left I noticed the 'Check Engine' sign on my car and I figured, well, there's really not that much farther to go I can make it. Then I noticed smoke coming out of my hood so I pulled off the road and noticed that the temperature gauge thing was all the way on the H
So I sat there for about 45 minutes then A guy from the motorists assistance showed up and poured water on the car, because that's what you're supposed to do when it's over heating like that. Well, after he did that we waited a little longer and then tried to turn on the car but it refused to turn on. We tried for 2 hours for my car to turn on and it wouldn't.
My coming home was supposed to be a surprise so I didn't tell anyone in my family that I was coming home except for my brother so when I broke down I had to tell my parents but no one would answer their phone. So finally I asked the motor assistance guy to take me to a place at the next exit. Where I sat for 2 and a half hours waiting for my dad to come and pick me up.
We'll continue the adventures of the month of June next time.

So where have you been?
It's not that I've been avoiding keeping up, This was supposed to be done before I went to sleep late at night.
Then I got on a slightly average sleeping schedule and I was taking a driving class.
Yeah, a driving class, because at 18 I still didn't have a driver's license.
Story Time!
When I was 15 I was super excited about getting my permit. I had to be 15 and 6 months to get it though. I thought, yeah I can wait, it's really no big deal. Then that day rolled around. That would mean, the 29th of December. So. I couldn't get it. So I waited. and waited. Then I took it one random day and failed. on a sign.
So lately that's what I've been up to.

I thought that the lines were roads instead of the space between them. I was upset. So the I had to wait 14 days. But I ended up just waiting. and waiting. and waiting. Until soon, it was the summer before my senior year. I took the written test and passed. No big deal. But you have to have your learners permit for 9 months before you can get your license. and by 9 months I was in college. 6 hours away from home. I couldn't take the behind the wheel class. So like a month ago I searched around and found a place that I could sign up and take the hours I need and last week I finally got my license. A month before my 19th birthday. isn't that delightful? So lately that's what I've been up to.

For the love of carbs
I like asking questions.
Not like, during class or whatever, and not even about anything relevant. Just questions about anything.
Like today I asked how my mom learned all of the drinks when she became a bartender back in the day. Then I asked him if he had abs when he was in the Marines. I just find stuff like that interesting. I like having people tell me information.
Useless stuff that could never be useful for anything else. because sometimes it might be useful.
Like once, my dad was talking to me on the phone. And I was half listening like usual because he usually says the same things every time he calls me. He tells the same stories and goes to the same topics. Every time. Guaranteed. Anyway, I was trying to fold laundry and he was talking to me about old movies. Because I bought him Legend (the one with Tom Cruise from back in the day) and he was saying how when that movie came out, it wasn't very big or something I don't know. But he said that the same thing happened with the Rocky Horror Picture Show. When it first came out in theaters, no one really wanted to see it. But now It's like some big thing and there's like a cult thing going on.
Then in my Anthropology class we were talking about trends or music that gets passed from country to country and someone was saying that a product or a fad has to be big when it comes out or it wont be passed around and I was like, oh ho ho my dad said the Rocky Horror Picture Show wasn't big when it came out and now everyone talks about it. I mean there was even a Glee episode dedicated to it.
Pretty crazy stuff.
So yeah, you never know when something useless can become useful. And I like stuff like that. I like to look at weird stuff about movies or actors that's completely useless. I think that kind of stuff is interesting.

What even...
Do you know what I find particularly exciting?
nothing.
Nothing at all. If it was up to me. I would never do anything at all. I'd lay around all day and all night. and I know, that's lazy how could you ever do that? just never do anything. I'm sure you'd get bored.
Well yes I would get bored. but I live a boring life. it's not like I'm doing anything anyway. I'm sitting here on a couch, maybe sometimes a chair or a bed and I go to about 5 different websites and I just end up hitting refresh over and over waiting for someone to talk to. and usually that doesn't end up happening. So I give up and then I close my computer and then I just sit and listen to music. I don't listen to music while I do something. I listen to music and I stair at the ceiling or the wall or I close my eyes.
Now, I understand this sounds, well, sad. like I need friends or something. But actually, when I have friends over, I usually make them do the same thing. I don't like talking to people very much. I mean. I will, I'll talk to people, when there's something to talk about. But, usually, no one has anything to say. Something needs to get done, okay it's done now what? small talk?
hey. how are you? that's cool. I'm good. Yep.
And then it's over. no one ever knows what to say next. You could expand it, how was school/work/your day? but really, you're just torturing yourself more. and everyone has those days when they just want to talk about nothing or talk about silly things. I mean I have those days. but, they don't happen often.
I just like to sit and absorb. sit and listen, watch, learn. You can learn a lot about something without even speaking. I'm not trying to start a new thing of no one ever speaking to anyone. It's awesome to have a good time and talk and yell and tell stories but there's a point you reach when you just get to sit without talking and it's less stressful than actually trying to make something happen.
Just something to think about.
Anyway, here's a good song to sit and just zone out to.
Have fun not talking.

What's up in-crowd?
It's mother's day or whatever. Irrelevant.
Oh, anyway, at one point I was attempting to become a YouTube vlogger. considering how extremely awkward I am, that failed miserably.
We all see how much of a fail that was.
There's just something about me. I'm terribly terribly awkward.
After that I just decided I would only do that on days when I actually had something to talk about. Which. Was never. So.
I am a little bit of a movie freak. I love watching movies. Not really to like break them down and analyze every little thing about them. But to enjoy them. My favorite kinds of movies are like really bad 90's movies. I don't know what it was about them but 90's movies were just, lacking. But I love them for it. They were awesome in their day. But now they're a joke. So anyway, when I can't sleep, I watch movies. Tonight I watched good Will Hunting. Which I had never seen before now. Which I see now is a crime against humanity or something. Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. I don't actually like your movies too much but I seriously enjoy your face.
Don't even get me started on my favorite actors.
Actors with awesome accents get an automatic add on. Like Hugh Grant gets an add on because he's awkward and he has a boss accent. :D
I love awkward actors.
Anyway.
I'm going to stop being a little fan-girl now.
Catch you on the flip flop

What's up? Let's get started.
So, hey. What's up?
I've just finished my freshman year of college and I'm about to start my summer.
So super craziness, my family has been slowly falling apart, and lately it's been like an avalanche. As a result, I have decided to move in with my older brother near where I go to school. One of the conditions of moving in with him and his family was for me to find a job and actually get my license. So, for the last month or so I have been searching for a job and planning out how to get my license.
Now, I do have my learners permit, I've had it for almost a year, I just never really had the time to take the behind the wheel portion of drivers ed. Or, not really not had the time, I just never really had the motivation to do it. Like when I took my learners permit test. I took it like a month after I turned 15 and 6 months. But, I failed. Yeah, I failed. I missed a sign. But in my defense I just thought the lines were the road not the space between them. So, you know, it's not really that big of a deal. So anyway I failed and I didn't retake the test until the end of my senior year in high school. So then, I had to wait another like, 9 months to get my license because I wasn't 19. But then I went to college so I didn't have the time to get it.
In April I searched and called a bunch of different places that have behind the wheel drivers ed to see if anyone had the time. Like 99% of the people I called never called me back so that was a wash. I finally got lucky though and someone had an opening the week after I got out of school so it was slightly perfect. Then tragedy struck once again, and I needed some sort of certificate of completion which, I probably could have gotten my sophomore year of high school but a year after I graduate? Not so much. So, I had to track that down, but the old lady at the behind the wheel place is totally being nice. Which is super appreciate.
Anywho, I'm still on a hunt for a job. I've applied to a bunch of places but this would be my first job and everyone is looking for someone with experience which I do not have. But I am pretty awesome if I do say so myself. :] It helps that my brother is a headhunter so he knows everything about getting jobs.
Okay so, I'm going to start letting you into my brain for this summer. and if our relationship works out, I may continue. We shall see. So, Enjoy :]
